Gmail Keepalive · Last updated 3 October 2026

Gmail Keepalive is a personal tool used only by its owner, Jigar Mehta, on Google accounts the owner controls.

Data accessed

When an account is authorized, the tool receives the account's email address (to confirm which account it is acting for) and permission to send email (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send). It does not request permission to read, search, modify or delete email, contacts, files or any other data.

How the data is used

The tool only sends a short message from each account to that same account, so that the account shows activity. Nothing else is sent, and nobody else receives anything.

Storage

OAuth tokens are stored only on the owner's own computer, in the operating system's protected credential store. The tool keeps a local log of the date and result of each send. No email content, contacts or other Google user data is collected or stored, and nothing is stored on this website.

Sharing

No data is sold, shared with or transferred to any third party, and none is used for advertising or to train AI models.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Gmail Keepalive's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Removing access

Access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions; the stored token for that account is then deleted.
